The Wanderer Edit is an indie and alt pop singer-songwriter who learned how to produce music in her own home because it was the most accessible way for her to start her music career. She became disabled around the age of 24 and has spent years finding ways to cope with struggling with chronic pain issues and a healthcare system that has failed her many times.
Growing up, she did not have much confidence to pursue a music career and had gone to college and graduated with a Linguistics degree and a Japanese minor. It wasn’t until after finding herself again in the last few years that she decided to go back to music. Her old love.
Always wanting to create music and sing, she started writing songs in local coffee shops and experimented with lyrics. Knowing the basics of music theory since she played piano since she was a child, she started putting those lyrics with music.
One day, on her walk home, a song played in her head after thinking about how people give her unsolicited advice. Something that is often given to disabled people. This is when her first single, “The Expert,” was created.
Now she has released her debut album, “Into A Fairytale,” that is available on most platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. Many listeners have found it calming, mystical, unique, and empowering.
